KASHISH 2026 Invites Artists & Designers to Submit Designs to the International Poster Contest
Theme of the festival is “Reflect, Resonate, Rejoice!”
South Asia’s biggest LGBTQ+ film festival and one of India’s most prominent film festivals KASHISH Pride Film Festival will celebrate its 17th edition from June 3rd to June 7th, 2026 in Mumbai. The theme of the festival is “Reflect, Resonate, Rejoice!”
This year’s theme, “Reflect, Resonate, Rejoice!”, is an invitation to embrace the full emotional spectrum of queer life. It encourages us to look back with honesty and honour our legacy, to let our truths echo through collective experience, and to celebrate the vibrant, resilient joy that binds us as a community. It is a journey that transforms the personal into the universal.
Each year the film festival organizes an international poster design contest to zero in on the look of the festival. Started by renowned fashion designer Wendell Rodricks in 2016, and supported by him and his partner Jérôme Marrel till 2023, the contest is now held independently by the festival.
KASHISH 2026 invites artists and designers not only in India, but from across the world to send their designs based on this year’s festival theme “Reflect, Resonate, Rejoice!”, and whichever design the jury find that resonate with the theme, will be announced the winner. The winner will receive Rs.20,000 cash prize and also the coveted KASHISH Butterfly Trophy, as well as international recognition since the design will be reproduced across all formats, including hoardings, catalog, delegate cards, etc.
In the past years, submissions have been received from across the length and breadth of India, but also from Estonia, Korea, Poland, Nigeria, etc.
