NANDAN SAXENA

Nandan Saxena is a three times National Award winning independent Filmmaker and Director of Photography with over 40 films to his credit. He tells stories of strong yet vulnerable characters from rural and aboriginal communities… recording echoes of gender-specific struggles set against the backdrop of environmental challenges, human rights issues or the agrarian crisis. He has mentored filmmakers and cinematographers from their skill-sharing platform ‘Quark Workshops’ – offering more than 60 workshops since 2007 – in India, London, Singapore and Australia. He has recently mentored at the Ex Oriente Workshop at Sunny side of the Doc in France. (June 2022). He is also an avid photographer and a TEDx speaker.

AANCHAL KAPUR

Aanchal Kapur is a firm believer that documentary films are a medium for social change. She loves to facilitate film screening discussions between filmmakers and audience, to enable thinking and action around the content of documentary cinema. She is the founder of Kriti Film Club, a one-of-its-kind 23-year old, independent documentary screening initiative. She curates and organises documentary screenings all over India and online via Doculive.in Aanchal has been closely involved (as curator and jury) with film festivals such as the PSBT Open Frame, IAWRT, Jeevika, Dharamsala, Vibgyor, Auroville Film Festival, Habitat Film Festival, Beyond Borders Feminist Film Festival and others. Aanchal has 32 years of work experience as a facilitator-trainer, documentation and communication specialist on gender and development issues, and runs a not-for-profit organisation. She is an avid photographer and documentationalist.

SHANTI BHUSHAN ROY

Shanti Bhushan Roy is an Indian Filmmaker, Cinematographer, Motion Picture Consultant & Educator. Known for his passion and craftsmanship, he has worked on dozens of feature films, non-fiction films, documentaries, TV programs, music videos, TV commercials & Bollywood musicals. His filmography includes Oscar shortlisted Ballad of Rustom, Wedding Anniversary, Shuttlecock Boys & Humne Gandhi Ko Maar Diya, Rubaru Roshni, #Shout, Partners Crime & TV program Satyamev Jayate. A former software engineer, he is an alumnus of prestigious Film and Television Institute of India-Pune. He is an avid reader with deep interest in philosophy, psychology and technology.
