KASHISH 2022 DELEGATE REGISTRATION FAQs

Thank you for your interest to attend the 13th KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival, South Asia’s biggest LGBTQIA+ film festival, which will take place from June 1 – 5, 2022 at Liberty Cinema, Mumbai and June 2-4, 2022 at Alliance Française de Bombay.
The theme for this year is ‘Flights For Freedom’.

The festival will screen LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual) films from around the world. It is the first LGBTQIA+ film festival to be held in a mainstream theatre and the first LGBTQIA+ film festival to obtain clearance from the Information & Broadcasting Ministry.

FESTIVAL DATES AND VENUES:

KASHISH 2022 will be held June 1 – 5, 2022 at Liberty Cinema (next to Bombay Hospital, Marine Lines). Map

FESTIVAL TIMINGS:

Liberty Cinema:
June 1st – 7.00 pm to 11.30 pm
June 2, 3, 4, 6th – 9.30 am to 11.30 pm

Alliance Française de Bombay:
June 2-5th – 10.30 am to 5.30 pm

MINIMUM AGE:

Delegates must be ABOVE 18 YEARS OF AGE on May 31, 2022 to attend the festival. Please carry a photo ID and age proof for verification.

COVID PROTOCOLS:

We wish to ensure a safe Festival for all of our delegates, team and volunteers. Here are few things that you can do to help.
– Delegates must have obtained two doses of vaccination and show their COVID vaccination certificate while collecting the Delegate Pass at the venue.
– Maintain at least 1.5m distance between yourself and others
– Make regular use of hand sanitizer and/or wash your hands
– Observe and maintain all other conditions as stipulated by the current government health advice, noting that these may change quickly and at short notice

ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL:

ONLY pre-registered Delegates with a valid Delegate Pass can be allowed entry to attend the festival.
The Delegate Pass gives access to the designated venues for the film screenings, allied events including the Opening Night Ceremony & Screening, and Award Ceremony & Closing Night Screening as per the program schedule

REGISTRATION:

To obtain the Delegate Pass, registration can be done by paying a nominal fee. One can register either online or on the spot at Liberty Cinema. There will be no registrations at Alliance Française de Bombay, except for AFB members.

  • Online Registration:
    This can be done at Instamojo HERE
    After your successful registration you will receive an automated confirmation message. No confirmation email is required to be sent by the festival.
    Simply save the message you receive upon registration from Instamojo and carry it either on your smartphone or as a print out to collect your Delegate Pass only at Liberty Cinema.
  • Spot Registration:
    This can be done by filling out the Delegate Registration Form, available on these dates and timings, ONLY at Liberty Cinema:
    June 1st : 2.00 pm – 7.00 pm
    June 2 – 4th : 9.00 am – 10.00 pm
    June 5th : 9.00 am – 7.00 pm

    Discounted pass ONLY for Transgender persons, and Full-time students.
    Students have to produce their valid Student ID of a College / University when collecting the delegate pass. If ID is not valid, full festival charges will be applied.

LOSS OF DELEGATE PASS:

In event of the loss of your Delegate Pass, you need to re-register for a Duplicate Delegate Pass by paying the registrations fees applicable at that time. Please keep your pass carefully at all times as entry will not be allowed without valid Delegate Pass.
