INTERNATIONAL NARRATIVE SHORTS IN COMPETITION
Fourteen narrative short films from across the world – Canada, China, Denmark, Iran, Italy, France, Nepal, Spain, UK and USA – are nominated for the Best International Narrative Short Award worth Rs.25,000 supported by GagaOOLala.
INDIAN NARRATIVE SHORTS IN COMPETITION
Five short narrative films from India in various languages – Bengali, Hindi, Pahari and English – are nominated for the Best Indian Narrative Short Award worth Rs.25,000.
Student Shorts IN COMPETITION
Six student short films from media schools across the world – China, Germany, India, Slovakia, Sweden and USA – are nominated for the Best Student Short Award worth Rs.25,000 supported by Whistling Woods International.
Nominations for ISMAT CHUGHTAI AWARD FOR BEST INDIAN WOMAN FILMMAKER
Indian woman filmmaker residing in India, whose first or second narrative film completed after January 1, 2023 and playing at KASHISH 2024, are eligible for nomination under this award category.
Nominations for KASHISH 2024 – RIYAD WADIA AWARD FOR BEST EMERGING INDIAN FILMMAKER
Instituted in memory of late filmmaker Riyad Wadia, who made India’s first gay film BOMgAY, Riyad Wadia Award for Best Emerging Indian Filmmaker is an attempt by KASHISH to recognize and nurture emerging Indian voices.
