WISHBERRY IS ‘TITLE PARTNER’ FOR KASHISH 2016
Wishberry.in, India’s leading crowdfunding platform, is the ‘Title Partner’ for KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival 2016. Wishberry is a Mumbai based crowdfunding platform which was founded by two ex McKinsey employees Priyanka Agarwal and Anshulika Dubey. It is a platform that allows creative entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to friends, family and everyone else out there who can contribute funds for their project. It is an ‘All or Nothing’ platform where the creators get 60 days to get 100% of their target funding, and if they fail to reach that amount all of the money is returned to the funders.
“We are continuing with our association with Kashish, now in its 4th year. We love the concept of Kashish and we’re proud to come on board this year as sponsors as well. It is a much needed platform to give voice to the LGBT issues, which people are generally ignorant about. We hope that Kashish reaches out beyond its community and becomes an inclusive platform for everyone to learn about alternate sexuality. And Wishberry will always support this mission.”
Anshulika Dubey, C-Founder & COO, Wishberry.
KASHISH was the first LGBT event to successfully raise money through crowdfunding in 2012 and for the fourth year in a row will raise funds for the seventh edition of the festival scheduled to be held between May 25 to May 29, 2016.
“Wishberry is a crowdfunding platform for creative projects, especially films. We want to help and encourage filmmakers working on great ideas, especially the ones that give a voice to the LGBT community and question society’s fixed ideas about sexual orientation. Our partnership with Kashish 2016 is an expression of this very sentiment,” said Anshulika Dubey.
