SHAINA NC PRESENTS KASHISH RAINBOW WARRIOR AWARD

At the closing night of 6th KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival, Shaina NC presented the KASHISH Rainbow Warrior Award to (late) activist Betu Singh, founder of Sangini Trust. her partner Maya Lisa-Shanker received the award posthumously on behalf of the indomitable lesbian activist. She spoke emotionally about what betu would’ve felt receiving the award.

Leading gay rights activist Ashok Row Kavi spoke about what a braveheart Betu was and how they had been together for years in their joint struggle for LGBT rights.
