ANJALI: HOW LONG CAN SOMEONE LIVE IN OTHER’S SKIN

The documentary explores the upbringing of transgender model Anjali, in a small village in the hilly district of Nuwakot, a district neighboring capital city Kathmandu, the discrimination she faced, the struggle she did after coming to Kathmandu and also about her dreams and hopes about the future.

PINK BOY

An intimate, 15-minute portrait of a gender-creative boy growing up in conservative rural Florida. BJ, a butch lesbian, avoids dresses her entire life until she adopts Jeffrey, who dances in gowns for his parents at home. As he now he wishes to dress in public, BJ must navigate where Jeffrey, age six, is safe in conservative rural Florida.

The internal struggle of the LGBTQ Palestinian community is constant and often overshadowed by the Israeli Palestinian conflict. The film tells the story of three LGBTQ Arab Palestinians who have chosen to be who they are despite living in a society that refuses to accept them and shuns their true identity.

A Home is not merely a physical space; it is a space of belonging- a space of acceptance and dignity. Where the blue lotus blooms is a film made at home with four Transgenders- Joanna, Pradipta, Sree and Urmi, who are from various social and physical spaces in Mumbai. Cutting through the identity of being a transgender in a world dominated by the cisgenders ( the so called ‘normal’ people) along with the social prejudices that come with it, they speak to each other about how they negotiate the space they call home.
