Ricardo (Victor Mendes) has both a steady boyfriend and a wandering eye for a new coworker. Isabella (Mayara Constantino) is taking a break from both her boyfriend and best friend Ricardo. And hopeless romantic Felipe (Caio Horowicz) has suddenly found himself caught between the two of them. These three have big dreams, yearning passion, and opinionated acquaintances, but they’re all unprepared for what’s to come from Cupid’s arrows.

Set in present-day São Paulo, where a trio of young hearts are about to break, Music for Bleeding Hearts focuses on the most basic and complex of feelings, telling three interconnected love stories and tracing a geography of affections and feelings of contemporary urban youth.

Rafael Gomes is a Brazilian screenwriter, author and director who has worked across the creative mediums of theatre, TV and films. He is known for 45 Days Away from You (2018), 3 Teresas (TV series, 2013 - 2014) and De Onde Eu Te Vejo (2016). His third film Music for Bleeding Hearts is based on the successful stage play Música Para Cortar Os Pulsos that he wrote in 2009. The play was the winner of ‘Best Young Play of 2010’ award from the São Paulo Association of Art Critics (APCA). The feature version is produced by Lacuna Films of The Way He Looks (2014) fame – the closing film at 6th KASHISH.
