The theme for KASHISH 2015 is Reaching Out, Touching Hearts, reflecting the urgent need for all of us to reach across barriers and boundaries, reach out to everyone, and build alliances across race, class, caste, religion, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation to challenge prejudice, change attitudes and create a society that allows each person to live with love and dignity.

The festival attracts the crème da la crème from the field of art, literature, theater and Bollywood, film buffs as well as LGBTQ persons from India and abroad as well as their families and friends, allies.

Lovely website and informative one too. Here’s to Kashish this year

  • Kim Singh

Kashish is Mumbai’s offering to the world of queer cinema and has evolved into an international film festival of repute. The most significant aspect of Kashish is the fact that hundreds of LGBT community members in Mumbai get to see themselves and colleagues reflected in every film. That is an invaluable service that Kashish performs. – Kim Singh. AdWise Films
